Topics session held on 4 June 2026 — The Science Behind Food &
Confectionery: Ingredients to Innovation. Thank you to everyone who joined
for the insightful discussions on ingredients, formulation, and innovation.
We
also congratulate RMIT University on the successful launch of their Food
Innovation Hub on 18 June 2026 at the Bundoora campus. This new facility
will drive industry collaboration, research, education, and innovation in

we head into the second half of the year and after AIFST26/FoodPro, the
Australian food sector continues advancing with regulatory progress and
practical innovation.

Great to see such a strong turnout at our recent Food Technology hot topic session on Food & Confectionery: Ingredients to Innovation - with over 60 people in attendance.
It was an incredibly valuable few hours filled with insightful discussion, knowledge sharing, and brilliant collaboration across the industry.
